2025 SUMMER SCHOOL IS JUNE 24th - JULY 25th
GCS 2025 Summer Session Credit Recovery consists of a blend of online coursework and in-person instruction. Only core subjects - math, English, and social studies - are offered. Students may recover one semester-long course (½ credit) at a time. Summer session offers no AP, Honors, or Dual Enrollment classes. Special Education support is available. Please contact your school counselor if you have any questions.
There is a $25 fee per one-semester course (½ credit). Payment is due before the first session. No refunds.
Students must provide transportation. No buses will be available.
No meals will be provided.
Student academic achievement is of the utmost concern for the GCS administration and faculty. We are here to help students be successful and responsible. Students are covering a lot of work in a short amount of time and will need to complete assignments regularly to be finished in 5 weeks.
To learn the content and recover the credit to a passing grade, all students must agree to:
Work diligently
Track their progress
Communicate with their teacher including outside of the required in-person sessions
STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND IN-PERSON SESSION FROM 9 AM - 12 PM ONE DAY EACH WEEK
Greenbrier West students will attend on Tuesdays (June 24, July 1, 8, 15 & 22) at GWHS.
Greenbrier East students will attend on Wednesdays (June 25, July 2, 9, 16 & 23) at GEHS.
The deadline to complete all coursework is July 25, 2025. Teachers will submit final grades to the schools by August 1st. Deadlines will not be extended.
RULES
Students are REQUIRED to attend in-person sessions.
Students may have only one absence for illness or family vacation which must be verified with a medical or parent note.
No visitors are allowed.
All school and GCS rules are in effect.
