GCS is partnering with Robert C. Byrd Clinic to provide free sports physicals for EGMS and GEHS students on June 1 from 4 - 6 p.m. in the EGMS parent pickup parking lot. TDAP, MenB, and HPV vaccinations will be available (insurance billed for immunizations). Parents must sign the sports physical consent form in advance or be present with their child. The sports physical form can be found on the WVSSAC
Bus 14-10 will not run in the morning or afternoon tomorrow, Wednesday, May 10. Students who ride Bus 14-10 and cannot get to school on Wednesday will not be counted as absent.
Summer School 2023 Credit Recovery information is attached. Students can access the online application and sign up now. Summer School starts Wednesday, June 21st.
Come join us for the Class of 2023 Community Scholarship Night on Monday, May 22nd at 6:00 PM. Many local scholarships will be awarded.
GCS and WV State University's Healthy Grandfamilies program invite grandparents raising grandchildren to join us at The Marvel Center in Rupert (138 Cranberry Ave.) on April 20 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. to view a short film from LegalAid highlighting available services and resources. Greenbrier East is a Game Changer School. Game Changer is a state-wide substance misuse prevention program that is being developed in partnership with the Hazelden Betty Ford Clinic. Recently we showed the film "One Pill Can Kill" in every first-period class. March is Music In Our Schools Month! The Governor has issued a Proclamation celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of music programs in our schools. March is also Student Art Month and the perfect time to remind the citizens of Greenbrier County how much we appreciate their support for music and art in our schools through our school levy!
